How it’s calculated
Volume (m³) = length (m) × width (m) × thickness (m). For every m³ of f’c=200 concrete, estimate ~7 bags of cement (50 kg), ~0.51 m³ of sand and ~0.67 m³ of gravel.

Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate the volume of concrete?
Multiply length × width × thickness, all in meters. For example, a 4 × 5 m slab that is 12 cm thick is 4 × 5 × 0.12 = 2.4 m³.
How many bags of cement go into a cubic meter of concrete?
For f’c=200 concrete with a 1:2:3 mix, estimate around 7 bags of 50 kg cement per m³, plus sand and gravel.
Does the calculator work for slabs and foundations?
Yes. It works for any concrete element with a constant cross-section: slab, screed, beam, column, footing or tie beam. Just enter its dimensions.
