Close out the jobsite day in five minutes
The daily close-out is the card that shows up on Today for your active project: it audits the day and tells you exactly what is still unlogged — attendance, the daily log, photo evidence, material that never arrived, work fronts with no progress, stale open items, and contractor progress waiting to be verified. Once everything is in (or you decide to close it out as is), the day's summary is ready to send to the jobsite WhatsApp group or print as a PDF. None of this uses AI or burns credits: it is all cross-checks against data you already captured during the day.
- It lives on Today, in the “Daily close-out” card for your active project. Open it with the “Close out the day” button.
- It audits the day with deterministic rules: attendance, daily log, photos, overdue material deliveries, fronts at 0%, items open for 3+ days, and subcontractor progress awaiting verification.
- Every gap comes with a button that takes you straight to fixing it (Log it, Capture, Verify…).
- It cross-checks your sources: if the daily log mentions 8 workers and attendance shows 5, it flags it.
- The summary goes out by WhatsApp (text ready to paste), to the clipboard, or as a printed PDF. No credits used.

Open the close-out when the shift ends
Go to Today and look for the “Daily close-out” card — it shows how many of today's entries are still missing (for example, “2 entries pending”). Tap “Close out the day” to open the full audit.

See what is missing and fix it in one click
The list puts what is missing first (red), then the warnings (amber), and finally what is already done (green). Each gap carries its own button: “Log it” takes you to attendance, “Capture” to the daily log, “Verify” to your contractors' progress. You fix it, and the list updates when you come back.

Read the day's summary
Above the checklist you get the day's numbers: crew on site, project progress %, spend captured today (receipts) and evidence photos, plus the activities and incidents recorded in the daily log.

Share the day
At the bottom there are three ways out: “Send by WhatsApp” opens the message already written for you to paste into the jobsite group, “Copy” drops it on the clipboard, and “Print PDF” generates the formal daily report for the owner or the inspector.
Frequently asked questions
Does the daily close-out use AI credits?
No. The whole close-out is deterministic: it cross-checks data you already captured (attendance, daily log, purchases, schedule). No AI, no credits.
Why doesn't one of the checks, like attendance, show up for me?
The checks respect the modules your company has turned on and your role: if the attendance module is off, that check doesn't appear (and it won't nag you about it). You set this in Settings → Modules.
What does the “Crew count doesn't match” warning mean?
It is the cross-check between your two sources: today's daily log mentions one number of workers and attendance has another. If they differ by more than 2 people, Matterial flags it so you can fix whichever source is wrong before that number travels on to payroll or the weekly report.
Can I send the summary even if entries are missing?
Yes. The outputs (WhatsApp, copy, PDF) are always available; when something is missing, the message says so (“Still to be logged: …”) so the team knows what was left open.
