Control your warehouse
Warehouse is your company's stock ledger: one central warehouse plus a store at every project, and a single record where every receipt, issue, transfer and adjustment leaves a trail. It answers the three questions that cost you money: what do I have, where is it, and what is it worth. It's deterministic end to end: it uses no AI and burns no credits.

Pick the warehouse you're working in
The picker sits up top: Central warehouse, or the site store of any of your projects. A project's store is created on its own the first time you pick it — there's nothing to set up. Everything you record lands in the selected warehouse, and the two figures at the top (value in stock and number of items) belong to that warehouse.

Log what arrives as a Receipt
In Record movement choose Receipt and enter the item, the quantity and the unit cost. That cost is what feeds the average cost and the value of the warehouse, so it's worth typing in. You can attach a photo of the paperwork (or drag it in) and set a date and a note. If the material comes from a purchase order, receive it from Purchases instead: you pick the destination store and the receipt stays linked to that order. And if you're starting from an inventory you already keep in a spreadsheet, use Import: it creates the items and, when a row carries a quantity, brings it in as a receipt.

Take material out with an issue slip
Choose Issue slip and enter the item, the quantity, who's receiving it and the work front (level, axis, area). You can attach the signature or a photo of the handover. If you're issuing from the central warehouse, pick the destination project: that's how the consumption gets attributed to it and shows up in the Consumption by site tab. Matterial won't let you issue more than what's on hand in that warehouse. Out in the field it's faster from the “+” button: Issue material and Receive material both work with no signal, save on the phone and sync as soon as you're back online.

Move it instead of buying it twice
A transfer passes stock from one warehouse to another: it leaves the source store at the average cost it carries there and enters the destination. It isn't a purchase and it isn't consumption on a project, it's the same material changing places. It's the cheap way to solve a shortage when another store has plenty, and the alerts tab suggests the transfer whenever the central warehouse still holds something a project is already burning through.

Let the warning stop you before you buy twice
When you type a material into a requisition or a purchase order, if that material already exists in the company's warehouse a notice appears with the quantity available. It doesn't block anything: it just reminds you at the exact moment you were about to spend. Buying the same thing twice is one of the most expensive mistakes there is, and one of the easiest to make when the warehouse lives inside one person's head.

Count physically and accept the difference
The Count tab lists every item with the system quantity and a box for what you actually counted. The Difference column works itself out, and shortages add up as a money value flagged as possible shrinkage. Write the reason (waste, theft, entry error), attach a photo if you want, and when you post the count each difference is recorded as an adjustment with its own trail. You don't have to count everything: only the lines where you entered a quantity generate an adjustment.

Find where it is and open the item ledger
The search box in the Stock tab doesn't only look inside the warehouse you have open: it looks across all of them, groups by material and gives you the company-wide total broken down by store. And tapping any stock row opens that item's ledger: its movements with a running balance, the supporting document for each one, and the option to rename or export it. That's also where you set its minimum stock: when the quantity drops below that number the item is flagged “below minimum” and joins the alerts. Zero means no alert.

Ask the plan what you're going to run out of
The Plan needs tab explodes the project's materials out of its unit price matrices (APU) and subtracts what's been bought and what you already hold in stock. Every row shows Required, Bought, In central and To buy, with two buttons: Transfer if the central warehouse covers it, or Requisition if you really do have to go get it. With “Whole plan” you see the entire project; with “Next 15 days”, only what the schedule tasks falling inside that window demand, subtracting on top of that whatever sits in the project's own store. For the phased view, tasks need a date and a linked budget item; if they're missing one, you can link them right there (there's an auto-link by name).

Read the day's alerts and take the tables with you
Right at the top, “Today in the warehouse” shows the three things that matter, each with a one-tap action: a project consuming more than its progress warrants, material running out or below its minimum, a suggested transfer, and idle capital (value sitting still with no movement). The Alerts tab carries the full list with its severity. And every table in the module (stock, movements, consumption by site, plan needs and the item ledger) exports to Excel, CSV or PDF, with your branding on the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Does this burn AI credits?
No. Warehouse is deterministic end to end: stock, average cost, the count, plan needs and the alerts all come out of arithmetic over your own movements. It works without AI and never touches your company's credit pool.
Where does each item's average cost come from?
It's the weighted average of the receipts: the sum of quantity times unit cost for everything that has come in, divided by the total quantity received. Issues and transfers don't change it — they're valued at the current average. The practical consequence: if you log receipts with no unit cost, the value of your warehouse comes out short.
How is this different from live Inventory?
Live Inventory (/inventario) is a calculation against the plan: how much the project asks for, how much has been bought and how much is still missing. There's no store and no physical stock there. Warehouse is what's actually sitting on the shelf, with receipts, issues and a balance per store. The two meet in the Plan needs tab, which subtracts your real stock from what the plan is missing.
Do the alerts predict anything?
No, and that's on purpose. They're fixed rules over data you already have: stock below the minimum you set, material a project is consuming while the central warehouse still has some, consumption already running ahead of that project's progress, or valuable items with no movement for more than two months. If a rule isn't met, nothing shows up. We'd rather stay quiet than make something up.
What if the storekeeper has no signal on site?
Issuing and receiving material from the “+” button are built for exactly that: with no signal they're saved on the device and sync on their own once you reconnect. The screen tells you when something was queued instead of saved.
Why is Plan needs coming up empty?
Almost always for one of two reasons. Under “Whole plan”: the project has no unit price matrices loaded, so there's nothing to explode the materials out of. Under “Next 15 days”: there are no dated tasks in that window, or the ones there aren't linked to a budget item. It can also be empty because nothing is missing — and it tells you that explicitly.
Can the subcontractor see the warehouse?
No. Access is walled off by company, and the external subcontractor role stays out of the warehouse: they see their own work in their portal, not your stock or the value of your inventory.
