Creating your account and your first project

In under five minutes, your company and your first project are up and running in Matterial. You can start from a blueprint (the AI builds the budget and schedule on its own) or from scratch. Here's how both paths work.

You sign up with your email, and your company is created in the language you choose.

With a blueprint, the AI proposes a budget, a schedule, and a quantity takeoff automatically.
Everything you do stays walled off by company—only your team can see it.

Sign up
Head to the home page and click “Get started.” Enter your email and a password. Once you confirm your email, your company (organization) is created in the language you brought over from the landing page.

Choose how to create your project
From “Projects → New project” you have two options: “With a blueprint” (upload the PDF or DWG) or “From scratch” (enter the details by hand).

Option A — With a blueprint
Upload the blueprint. Matterial pulls out the quantity takeoff and proposes a detailed budget, a schedule, and a proposal. You review and fine-tune everything before saving.

Option B — From scratch
Enter the project name, the client, and the dates. Then add line items to the budget and tasks to the schedule whenever you're ready.

Set your active project
When you open a project, it becomes the “active” one across the whole platform: receipts, the site log, attendance, and reports all get saved to it until you switch projects.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a blueprint to get started?

Nope. You can create a project from scratch and add the budget and schedule later. A blueprint just speeds up the launch, since the AI builds everything for you.

Can I have more than one project?

Yes. How many active projects you can have depends on your plan (Free 2, Starter 5, Pro 20, Business 30, Enterprise unlimited). A finished project doesn't count as active.

Who can see my information?

Only your company. Each organization is walled off: no one outside your team can see your projects, budgets, or documents.
