Log a receipt with AI
Every material purchase gets logged with a single photo. The AI reads the vendor, the invoice number, the amounts, and the line items; all you do is review and save. And if you're out on the job with no signal, the receipt is saved and uploads on its own once you're back online.
- Photo → the AI pulls the vendor, tax ID, invoice number, subtotal, tax, and total.
- You review what was read and fix anything before saving.
- No connection? The receipt queues up and uploads once you get signal back.
- You can link the receipt to a purchase order to close out the expense.
- 1
Open Receipts → New
In Receipts, tap “New receipt.” You can snap a photo with the camera or upload one from your gallery.
- 2
Take the photo
Frame the receipt or invoice. The AI analyzes it and fills in the form: vendor, invoice number, date, subtotal, tax, total, and the line items.
- 3
Review and adjust
Double-check what was read. Fix any field, assign the project and the vendor, and add notes if you'd like.
- 4
Save
Once you save, the receipt lands in your history. If you have an invoice XML (CFDI), you can upload it directly and the data is exact, with no credits spent.
- 5
Link it to a purchase (optional)
From the receipt you can create a purchase order or tie it to an existing one; that seals the delivery and updates your inventory.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to read a receipt?
Reading with AI costs credits per page (2 credits), drawn from your company's monthly pool. Uploading an invoice XML doesn't use any credits.
Does it work without internet?
Yes for capturing: you take the photo and fill in the data by hand (the AI needs a signal). The receipt is saved on the device and uploads on its own once you reconnect.
Can I upload the invoice as a PDF or XML?
Yes. You can upload the photo, the PDF, or the XML (CFDI). The XML is the most accurate because the data comes straight from the tax document itself.
