Create a site development or production housing project
When you create a project, the first step is the project type. Alongside house, building, remodel and warehouse, there are now two built for the developer's world: Site development / Subdivision (the horizontal work: streets, lots and utilities) and Production housing (the prototypes that repeat). Each type starts out with its typical line items and schedule, and you can link the project to a development to consolidate land + construction.

New project → Project type
Tap “New project”. On the first step choose the type: for a developer, “Site development / Subdivision” or “Production housing”. Each card shows how many line items and phases it brings.

Basic details
Give it a name, location, area and budget. The template's line items scale to that budget and the schedule is dated from the start date.

Review the line items and the schedule
The project is created with the line items for the type you chose (in site development: earthwork, water and sewer, roadways…; in production housing: foundation, structure, finishes…) and their sequence. Adjust quantities, prices and dates to your real job.

Link it to a development (optional)
If the project is part of a subdivision, from Developments you link it with its phase and its role (site development or housing). Its cost enters the development's consolidated land + construction.

For production housing: load the units
In the development, under “Units and sales”, add the prototype with its count (Model A Home ×50, for example) and the individual units are created so you can track the sale lot by lot.
Frequently asked questions
How is “Site development” different from the other project types?
It brings horizontal-work line items — earthwork and grading, water and sewer, electrical distribution, roadways, curbs, green areas — instead of the ones for a building. It is for whoever builds the streets, lots and utilities of the subdivision.
Is “Production housing” different from “House”?
They are designed for different jobs: house is a one-off home; production housing is for turning out many homes from the same prototype. The idea is to budget the model once and replicate it lot by lot inside a development.
Do I have to link the project to a development?
It is not required. You can run a site development or a production housing project on its own. Linking it to a development only adds the consolidated view (land + construction) and, in housing, unit and sales tracking.
Can I change the template's line items?
Yes. The line items, quantities, prices and the schedule are a starting point; you edit them freely once the project is created.
