Today: your day on one screen
Today is Matterial’s home screen. Instead of opening module after module, it gathers what needs action now —sorted by urgency and with the reason— and takes you straight to where you fix it. It is computed with fixed rules over your data (tasks, orders, daily logs, progress and what the subcontractor sends) and uses no AI credits.
- What to handle today lists the priorities across all your projects as High, Medium or Low, each with its reason and a button that opens exactly where it gets solved.
- They include, among others: yesterday’s missing daily log, purchase orders awaiting approval, late deliveries, overdue tasks, projects behind schedule or spending ahead of progress, requisitions without a purchase order and what the subcontractor sent from their portal (progress billings and progress reports to validate).
- Your to-dos —assignments given to you and RFIs waiting for your answer— show up separately, with their date.
- Each project’s health explains its traffic light: what pulls it down and what is going well.
- This week shows what is scheduled for the coming days.
- You only see what your role allows: the projects you have access to and the modules that are turned on; orders awaiting approval, only if you can approve them.
- If your company is a developer or rents out equipment, Today adapts to that profile: buyer receipts and payments to validate, or unanswered leads, rentals starting or ending and balances to collect.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn’t something I expected show up?
Today only shows what your role can see and what belongs to the modules your company has turned on. If you only have access to some projects, the priorities are from those projects.
Does it use AI credits?
No. Everything is computed with fixed rules over your data.
How often does it update?
Every time you open the screen, and when you come back to it after entering something elsewhere.
It says “No active projects yet”. What do I do?
Today is built from your projects: create the first one and the brief appears. If your company is a developer or an equipment business, you will see your profile’s priorities even without projects.
